Jack and I have been watching the garden...checking it daily, yet these managed to mature without us ever noticing them doing it!
Cucumbers are funny that way....
The carrots aren't working out so well...*g*
So we sliced them up....
And tossed them with some onions, fresh tomato's, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and had a delicious, fresh from the garden salad! I've decided that next year we are going to make a real garden. I've really enjoyed eating things that we have grown and knowing exactly where the food comes from along with what's been put on it! It's very satisfying and well worth the effort.
I'll post the main course tomorrow! I got adventurous and made one of the Pioneer Woman's recent recipes! (changing it up a bit of course!)
Love the fresh veggies from the garden!
ReplyDeleteYay for cucumbers!!! And yes- I know what you mean about eating from your own garden...I'm enjoying it too:)

Happy day to you and happen salad eating. Can't wait for the main course...

The picture of Jack with the tiny carrot is ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you got the emails ok. What a mess for you to have to deal with, but I'm glad everything is working out ok. And no, it didn't mess me up at all! No worries! :)

ReplyDeleteDeanna, I didn't plant zucchini this year but I have an incredible recipe for a zucchini casserole. Let me know when your zucchini's come in and I'll get the stuff to make it and post it!
